Bricolage supports the everyday tactics of those with little political influence, and even less money. These tactics creatively combine materials and resources at hand to make objects that meet immediate needs. Bricolage is the art of making do with what you have. Many examples of this kind of productivity are created by women and girls, the kind of creativity that is denied the status of art, and designated craft instead. Take basket making, for instance, or quilting, sewing, weaving, cooking, and gardening.
